wsfThe Los Angeles Volleyball Organization was begun in 2010, by a group of sports enthusiasts who wanted to bring the residents of Los Angeles an organized league that would foster competition and build friendships. WSF is a natural extension of the LAVO brand, with our work supporting LAVO in its mission to promote the sport of volleyball and allow the organization to expand its current services to more of the community. Each year the group helps sponsor regional sporting events and from Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 4, it will play host to an estimated 2,000 LGBT athletes and sports leagues that play in and around West Hollywood for a high-energy multi-sport tournament. The three-day festival, held over Labor Day weekend, includes basketball, dodgeball, swimming, soccer, tennis, volleyball and water polo events on the UCLA campus, along with an Opening Day Kick Off Party at Sunset Boulevard’s Mondrian LA Hotel, as well as a Wellness Expo and Dance Competition, all culminating with a Sunday night blow-out Closing Night Party at West Hollywood’s La Boheme on Santa Monica Boulevard.
