BLACK & WHITE BALL: A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION SUPPORTING THE LGBTQ CENTER LONG BEACH

bwballAnything but monochromatic, The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach works diligently to serve the many colors represented by the LGBTQ communities adopted rainbow symbol.

As a part of their annual fundraising purview, the organization is proud to present their 3rd Annual Black and White Ball, on Saturday, March 12, at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Long Beach. The Center’s signature gala, the event offers guests an evening of elegance and sophistication, all in the spirit of celebration for the Long Beach LGBTQ community’s many accomplishments.

The evening includes: live music, dinner, dancing, a silent auction and three Center Icon Awards.

4th District Supervisor Don Knabe will be honored with a Political Icon-Lifetime Achievement Award, the Community Icon Award will be presented to the AIDS Food Store and new this year, the Youth Icon Award, goes to Judah Peralta, a graduate of The Center’s Mentoring Youth Through Empowerment (MYTE) program.

All funds raised from the Black and White Ball will support the many programs and services of The LGBTQ Center Long Beach.
