The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Range Rovers—lots of great things have been imported from the U.K. Now we can add another: The Stop Sweat Now® treatment. First developed in London, this innovative system is now available for the first time in Southern California.
For whom is it designed?
Everyone. Are you bothered by underarm sweat? Do you find yourself frequently re-applying deodorant? Are you frustrated by over-stained clothes? Do you sweat excessively when under pressure? Does your professional life or social life suffer?
Excessive underarm sweating, also called axillary hyperhidrosis, is an annoying, embarrassing and isolating problem. From the discomfort of sweat running down your sides, to the embarrassment of obvious sweat stains, to the fear of being “discovered,” excessive underarm sweating can feel like it’s ruining your life.
Up until now, the two most popular options to combat excessive sweating were to use a strong anti-perspirant or to have Botox injected into the underarm area. Sadly, both of these are temporary and involve the use of toxins to temporarily stop perspiration.
Enter the Stop Sweat Now® treatment plan.
Stop Sweat Now® therapy for excessive underarm sweating uses an F.D.A. approved laser, which is both safe and non-invasive, to quickly and permanently stop excessive underarm sweating. Since sweat glands do not regenerate after they are eliminated, the results are long-lasting.
The procedure, which takes about one hour, involves local anesthesia, minimum discomfort, no surgery and minimal downtime. Most patients return to normal activity immediately after the procedure. Two procedures, spaced three months apart, are required to maximize the results and duration of the Stop Sweat Now® therapy.
Dr. Michael Bain, a board certified plastic surgeon and a Stop Sweat Now® pioneer, explains that while the armpits account for only one percent of the body’s surface area, excessive sweating here affects people both psychologically and socially. “The Stop Sweat Now® therapy non-invasively eliminates both types of sweat glands from the underarm—the ones that cause sweat and the ones that cause smell. The other 98 percent of the body still sweats. The embarrassing amount of sweat coming from under the arms is eliminated.”
Dr. Bain adds, “Before I created the Stop Sweat Now® program, I investigated all of the other options. This is the safest, least invasive and most effective procedure I found. And, I was the first patient in my own practice to undergo the procedure. The results were immediate and impressive—I stopped using deodorant the day after the first procedure.”

Stop Sweat Now® patients agree and clinical trials affirm the effectiveness of the treatment. Clinical data from two study sites affiliated with the University of British Columbia showed the laser was successful in reducing underarm sweat in over 90 percent of patients through the final study visit 12 months after treatment.
The average sweat reduction was 82 percent. Patients rated their satisfaction with the treatment at 90 percent.
